HISTORY

Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE) Unit UTM Kuala Lumpur was established on 22 December 2015 during the University Management Committee (JPU) meeting. The operation starts on 22 February 2016 and was officialy launched on 12 April 2017. The Unit is managed by a Deputy Director, an OSHE Assistant Officer, an Administrative Assistant and an Operation Assistant.

To date, the Deputy Director is assisted by two OSHE Assistant Officers as the responsibility of managing occupational safety and health matters increases in line with current developments of UTM Kuala Lumpur campus.

In February 2024, the term ‘Unit’ has been converted to a new term which is ‘Section’ due to organizational restructuring.
