Unit Alam Sekitar (UAS) berperanan dalam membuat penasihatan, promosi, pemeriksaan, pemantauan dan penyiasatan terhadap perkara yang melibatkan alam sekitar hasil daripada aktiviti pekerjaan di UTM Kampus Johor Bahru dan Pagoh. Perundangan melibatkan Akta Kualiti Alam Sekeliling 1974 (Akta 127) perlu dipatuhi oleh semua warga kampus semasa melaksanakan aktiviti kerja.
