Zon Laman Seni
Under Construction

  This zone is located in the northwest and the site was originally a short route for the UTM students and workers, especially for those at the Faculty of Built Environment and colleges nearby as College Rahman Putra and College Tun Fatimah. The project proposal for Seni Zone, which is located near the site of new building of Faculty of Built Environment (FAB) increased the strength of this zone as an art based area. Seni Zone’s environment is an open area with tropical images, which are decorated with shaded trees for any cultural activities organized by UTM students, especially among students, such as FAB Poetry Evening and Pre-graduates Night. In certain corners of the sites, selected works of sculpture by the students are placed as in an addition to elements of life that often changes the Seni Zone. The main elements of the Seni Zone are as follows:

 

Jambatan (Bridge)

 The primary interface between the Bistari zone and Seni zone is a bridge which is the main liaison between the Faculty of the Built Environment building and the Graduate Center building and also the other areas of the Tropical Park.

 

Laman Cabaran

  Cabaran site is at the right corner of the Faculty of Built Environment building is a green area which is equipped with sports equipment such as wooden bridge and wheel arrangement for sports use. Circulation at this is intermittent with those sports challenge. This site also functions as for some light exercises for the kayak player around the Built Environment Lake before they can go for some kayak challenges around the area.

 

Laman Budaya

  The main entrance to the Seni Zone of the Faculty of Built Environment is through small stairs which also serves as the “Amphitheatre”. “Amphitheatre” is a more natural image based, using the original topography of the land and connected with a “square” as a stage for cultural activities of the students. Next, pedestrian walkways are provided to bring the user to a site that covers the activities of art and craft of Malaysians, especially students of the Faculty of Built Environment. These activities continued until the water shoreline at the lake area that forms like canoe and Melayu ships.

 

Laman Bina

  Left corner of the Faculty of Built Environment site is decorated with a retaining wall, also acts as a “decorative wall. This site will be used as a display wall of creativity, students of Faculty of Built Environment will decorate with moral that changes on every first semester. At this site is the creativity of students of Faculty of Built Environment, particularly when they are at their first step in beginning to establish themselves in this field. At the edge of the lake there is a jetty, which is sponsored from a building namely Kayak Store for convenience of Kayaking activities around the lake. Based on the activities of these self-build, this zone is given the name Bina Site.
