PROJEK KEBUN BANDAR SG. BUNUS

Projek Kebun Bandar LA21 adalah projek kebun bandar lestari yang dilaksanakan oleh DBKL dengan usahasama 9 pemegang taruh termasuk UTM. Dalam projek ini, UTM telah dilantik sebagai sekretariat dalam melaksanakan projek kelestarian Kebun Bandar Sg Bunus.

Pusat Jaringan Komuniti dan Industri Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (CCIN) adalah pusat yang menyelaras, memudahcara, dan membantu dalam perlaksanaan projek antara UTM dengan industri dan komuniti. Oleh itu, pihak CCIN selaku wakil UTM, dengan ini bersama-sama menjalankan aktiviti melibatkan staf dan pelajar seperti aktiviti berkebun setiap hari Khamis, dan menyokong semua program yang dianjurkan oleh DBKL yang diadakan di Kebun Bandar LA21.

The location of the garden is approximately 2 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur City Centre and is located near Sg Bunus retention pond. Picture 2 shows the landscape view of Urban Garden Sg Bunus drawn by UTM researcher during the initialization stage of the garden. The picture shows all stakeholders including UTM Kuala Lumpur that involve in the development of the garden and future plans for garden plots and areas. To realise the mission, UTM KL has committed weekly, every Thursday morning for gardening activities together with other stakeholders to show the dedication and commitment towards the ultimate goal which is rehabilitation and beautification of Bunus River.
