The Scholar’s Inn began as a Guest House Unit with 7 units of 2 bedroom houses in 1989 which were scateredly located in a residential college to accommodate UTM visitors. In 1992, to fulfill the growing demand, we renovated 88 units of single rooms as part of our serviced rooms. As part of UTM transformation, in 2004 we have moved to the current building and continue our services as a non-profit public entity that provides on-campus lodging for visiting scholars, guest speakers, parents of UTM students, and other visitors to the campus. Gradually, we improve ourselves to give our guests a memorable stay.
Scholar’s Inn is managed by UTM students as part of the University’s student engagement programme. The programme enhances students’ leadership and decision making skills and forges a sense of community by providing opportunities for students to participate in campus and community life. Nevertheless, we do not compromise on the quality of our service. We aim to make your stay with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Please do not hesitate to inform us if our service is not up to your expectations so that we can make it right.
