Synopsis of Cooperation – Yayasan Azman Hashim
In April 2016, Yayasan Azman Hashim contributed RM30 million to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for the purpose of offering scholarships as well as enhancing and expanding academia.
The RM30 million ringgit is used to establish a Tabung Biasiswa Endowmen Azman Hashim, which aims to offer scholarship to excellent undergraduate students with CGPA of 3.80 or above, and Bottom 40 students with household income of less than RM3,500.00 with CGPA of 3.00 and above. This fund will also help in the enhancement and development of academia in UTM.
For a start, five students from different backgrounds of studies have each received a scholarship from the Tabung Biasiswa Endowmen Azman Hashim. This number has recently increased to 24 students.
Through his initiative, Tan Sri Azman, as the Executive Chairman of Amcorp Group Berhad, has organised an AmGames 2018 at UTM Johor Bahru on 10-11 August 2018. The event which was managed by the Endowment Unit has contributed a fund amounting to RM349,745.00.
Synopsis of Cooperation – Maha Persada Group
Since Januari 2013, Maha Persada Group Sdn Bhd contributed more than RM500 thousands to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for the purpose of assisting Bottom 40 students to pay their outstanding tuition fees and also contributing a special budget to UTM students to organise activities for talent development in line with UTM vision to be a world class university.
Datuk Yusuf A Bakar is the Managing Director of the Maha Persada Group Sdn. Bhd. He is a UTM graduate from the Faculty of Built Environment under the Quantity Surveying department in 1998
